With her high cheekbones, full lips and long, lithe limbs, it’s hard to believe that Pose actress Indya Moore isn’t better known as a model. After all, she’s modeled for Dior and Gucci and walked in New York Fashion Week.

But while Moore may be beautiful by any standard, the fashion industry has been stunningly slow in recognizing trans talent. Very few transgender models have managed crossover success, and those who have often spent years hiding their assigned gender, as was the experience of model and trans activist Geena Rocero.

Though the industry has been making strides in inclusivity, with the breakthrough success of FX’s trans-actress led hit, we may soon see a major leap forward in the number of trans beauties featured on runways and in major campaigns. And Moore promises to be leading the charge, as she jubilantly tweeted on Thursday that she’s now represented by not one, but two of the world’s leading agencies in talent and entertainment, IMG and William Morris Endeavor.

In fact, Moore is making history as William Morris Endeavor’s first signed trans talent; a watershed moment, in and of itself. It’s a thrilling development for a well-deserved talent, as Moore’s “Angel” is undoubtedly one of the most beloved characters of the recently renewed Pose. No word yet on where else we’ll be seeing her next, but we will definitely be looking forward to it.
