To say that designer Kerby Jean-Raymond is on the cusp of greatness would be a belated accolade. The CDFA Award-nominated designer of Pyer Moss—who is currently a CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist—has been making a major impression on the fashion industry for years, with socially-conscious shows and of-the-moment designs.

Jean-Raymond’s rise has included an ongoing collaboration with Reebok. He debuts his second shoe and third release with the sneaker juggernaut on Friday, the DMX Daytona Experiment 2, available on both Reebok and the label’s website.

They aren’t 54.11s, but are equally vintage-inspired: Based on the ’90s running outsole known as the “Daytona,” the new iteration retails for $225 and comes in two colorways: a black suede upper with multicolored accents, and an ivory leather version with white and green detailing. Both feature Pyer Moss branding and gold lace tips.

This is only the latest drop from the brand, but Pyer Moss fans should stay tuned, as we have it on good authority that another major collab is coming for the label, possibly as soon as next week.
