When we grow up, we want to be just like Blue Ivy Carter. Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s firstborn is clearly living the best life we can imagine, and racking up credits on Billboard-charting hits in the process. And when Blue Ivy celebrated her seventh run around the sun this January, she did it in pop princess style, with a rose gold-themed fête—complete with playful makeup looks, unicorn hair extensions, on-site manicures, a runway, and wardrobe changes.

As reported by Elle, photos from the event were shared by proud mama Beyoncé herself, as part of a series of photos dropped to her website. And of course, since Jan. 7 marked Blue Ivy’s “golden birthday,” it only makes sense that the mogul-in-the-making—who appears to have done a bit of DJ-ing during the festivities—would take it a step further and make her birthday rose golden.

In the series of pics that appeared on the site, we also got a rare glimpse of twins Rumi and Sir, who will unbelievably turn three next June. And of course, Blue wasn’t the only one getting her party on this year (because as Beyoncé once sang, “[she] like to party”). Among the many photos uploaded to the site chronicling Bey’s 37th year (the singer turned 38 on Sept. 4), was a more detailed look at the Gatsby-inspired Ryan & Walter gown that she wore to ring in 2019.

Our takeaway? Clearly, Blue is getting her sense of style from her mama, who always knows how to create a showstopping moment. As for Blue, with her 8th birthday quickly approaching, it’ll be fun to see how she tops livin’ her life like it’s rose golden (we’re already imagining the Sweet 16).
